Four trim levels and new packages

The 2022 Kia Forte is available in four trim levels – FE, LXS, GT-Line, and GT. For 2022, Kia has discontinued the EX trim. Instead, you will get a new GT-Line Sport Premium package. You can also opt for new “Technology” package offerings across the LXS, GT-Line and GT trim levels.

What’s powering the 2022 Kia Forte?

The 2022 Kia Forte FE, LXS, and GT-Line are powered by a 2.0L MPI 4-cylinder engine that makes 147 horses and 132 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired with an Intelligent Continuously Variable Transmission (IVT). At the top of the lineup, the 2022 Kia Forte GT model gets a 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.6L engine that makes 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The GT also brings balanced driving dynamics and boasts a standard seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with an optional six-speed manual.
