Arriving soon at Frank Boucher Kia of Racine, the updated 2022 Kia Forte brings the new stylized Kia logo, redesigned sharper headlights with a sleeker, more modern-looking tiger-nose grille, and a bolder, more distinct GT lineup.
For 2022, the Kia Forte lineup has been streamlined to just four trims: FE, LXS, GT-Line, and GT. The EX from the previous model has been discontinued and replaced with a new GT-Line Sport Premium Package. Powering the 2022 Kia Forte FE, LXS and GT-Line is a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder MPI engine that makes 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque while delivering an impressive fuel economy. At the top of the lineup, the Forte GT gets a turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that cranks out 201 horsepower along with 195 lb-ft of torque. The Forte GT boasts a standard seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with the option of a quick-shifting six-speed manual for a balanced driving dynamic.
The interiors of the 2022 Kia Forte have also been upgraded to deliver a modern, driver-focused cabin featuring cutting-edge technologies and larger displays than the predecessor. A more significant 4.2-ich TFT LCD cluster is now standard across all trims instead of the 3.5-inch cluster on the outgoing models. The 2022 Kia Forte also adds wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration on the FE and LXS trim, and the rear passengers now get rear USB charging to charge their phones.
Drivers in Southern Wisconsin who want a sportier version of the Forte will love the 2022 Kia Forte GT-Line and GT, which bring updates that help distinguish them from the rest. These include signature three LED fog lights integrated into the GT-Line air-intake grille, 17-inch dark metal gray alloy wheels, sport seats with SynTex upholstery, sport steering wheels, new rear combination taillight design, and standard 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display with MapCareâ„¢ navigation.
