The Forte one-ups the Sentra in almost every aspect. Right from the performance aspect all the way to the convenience features, the Forte stands on a higher pedestal. To begin with, the Forte offers an additional 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder engine while the Sentra only has one engine option. In terms of performance, the Sentra struggles with slow acceleration and timid driving dynamics. The Forte, on the other hand, offers zippy performance and achieves better fuel economy in the process.
The base FE and LXS trim come with an eight-inch touchscreen display along with a four-speaker audio system, Wireless Android Auto™, Wireless Apple CarPlay®, and Bluetooth connectivity. On the other hand, all the other trims get a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with Voice-Command Navigation system, Kia Connect, SiriusXM® Traffic, and HD Radio™ as additional features. Optional features like Harman Kardon® Premium Audio System, Heated and Ventilated Front Seats, and 10-way power-adjustable Driver’s seat with power lumbar support are also available. Coming to the Sentra, it comes with a seven-inch touchscreen display as standard while an optional eight-inch screen is also available. While the list of features might be similar, the overall fit-and-finish and user experience are not as refined in Sentra.
The seating in the Forte is more comfortable compared to the Sentra. Passenger and cargo room is more in the Forte compared to the Sentra. Also, the seats are more comfortable in the Forte. Overall, the Kia Forte stands miles ahead of the Nissan Sentra.
